Lately, I have been getting quit a few emails asking, “What are Essential Oils?” So, I would like to take a little bit of your time and explain what essential oils are.
What Are Essential Oils
Essential oils are liquids that have been distilled from plant parts (seeds, bark, leaves, stems, roots, flowers, and stems). Essential oils such as Frankincense and Myrrh have been used before Christ was born.
Essential oils are all natural and non toxic. No harmful chemicals added to them.
Safe and alternative to medicine. Used to reduce stress, depression, and anxiety. Helps increase energy and relaxing. One drop goes a long ways.
How To Use Essential Oils
Aromatic: Essential oils are inhaled or diffused into the air to help enjoy the aroma.
Topical: Massaging essential directly into the skin. When applying essential oils to your skin dilute with a carrier oil(dilutes essential oils to be spread over bigger area.) such as coconut oil(this one is my favorite)
Internal: Taking essential oils by mouth. I am not giving any medical advice on this one. I recommend seeking medical advice before ingesting any oils. I use orange, lime, lemon, and peppermint oil in my tea and water.
